My Five Minute Cruelty-Free Makeup Routine

Dashing out the door in the morning is my MO but that doesn’t mean I have to look like I just dashed out the door. And that’s where the quickest makeup application known to (wo)man comes into play.

First, it’s important to note I don’t save time by skimping on my AM skin routine. That’s an absolute mainstay. It’s what comes after the serums, oils, and moisturizers, that saves me time on doing my whole face while still keeping me looking put together.

Start with your base. I use five drops of Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint with SPF 40, one drop on my forehead, one on each cheek, and two on my neck and décolleté. It leaves my skin looking glowy, even, and protected. It also has hydrologic acid to help keep my skin extra healthy all day long!

Next I swipe on concealer, especially important when all anyone ever sees of my face these days is my eyes over my mask! I use Ilia True Skin Serum Concealer, applying it under my eye and gently blending it onto my eyelid as well, using it as a pseudo-primer for my eye shadow.

I brush a hint of Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer just under apple of my cheeks and blend it into my temples.

I apply neutral eye shadow when I’m short on time to steer clear of the hassle of blending anything that needs detailed attention. I love using Too Faced’s Natural Eyes Eyeshadow Palette which has the perfect shades for my pale skin to make my grey eyes pop.

A single swipe of eyeliner from Kat Von D gives me the perfect application every time, I seriously swear by this product, it goes on easy and stays put even when I get caught in a rainstorm

I finish off with my mascara! Loving Ilia’s formula with shea butter that keeps the flakes away all day, and night, long

And with that I’m dashing out the door and onto other things!

xo,

Kate
